Tom Mattison

An investigation of process as a compositional method through the realisation of a series of prints.

My work will focus on the method by which I will create work as opposed to consciously choosing images. I aim to create rules and plan methods of image selection and production. I will use form and the narrative of process as a method of structure. Therefore the material or technique will form the aesthetic. Allowing my work to be affected by intentional and unintentional mark-making could offer interesting results. As for the final outcome I am interested in creating some larger scale work, I look forward to working outside of my usual format and excited to see the results.
